Augustus Henry Moreton MacDonald of Largie (24 June 1804 – 14 February 1862) was elected as the MP for West Gloucester in 1832, and his brother Henry George Francis Reynolds Moreton, Second Earl of Ducie, was elected as the MP for East Gloucester. In 1835, Augustus H. Moreton also became the MP for East Gloucester, and he held both seats until 1841.

Augustus Henry Moreton was an active campaigner for homeopathy and a friend of Frederick Hervey Foster Quin, the first President of the British Homeopathic Society, and Marmaduke Blake Sampson, the Chairman of the British Homeopathic Association, and many other homeopaths.

Augustus Henry Moreton was on the Management Board of the Hahnemann Hospital at 39 Bloomsbury Square, alongside William Henry Ashurst, William Arthur Case, John More Douglas, Peter Gardner, Joseph Glover, Edward Hunt, Thomas H. Johnstone, Sir James Haughton Langston, William Leaf, Sir Charles Powell Leslie, John Miller, James More Molyneaux, Sir Samuel Morton Peto, Abel Peyton Phelps, Frederick Sandoz, Frederick J. Smith, William Stephenson, Samuel Sugden, Allan Templeton, Major Charles William Tyndale, William Warne, Charles Wilkinson, and James Wilson M.P.

Moreton was active in the foundation of the London Homeopathic Hospital, which was established at 32 Golden Square in 1851.

Augustus Henry Moreton Macdonald of Largie was born on 24 June 1804. He was the son of Thomas Reynolds Moreton, 1st Earl of Ducie and Lady Frances Herbert. He married Mary Jane Macdonald Lockhart, daughter of Sir Charles Macdonald Lockhart, of Lee and Carnwath, 2nd Bt. and Emilia Ross, on 15 September 1837. He died on 14 February 1862 at age 57. Augustus Henry Moreton Macdonald of Largie was baptised with the name of Augustus Henry Moreton. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.). Augustus Henry Moreton wrote Civilization, Or, A Brief Analysis of the Natural Laws that Regulate the Numbers and Condition of Mankind (1836) and Thoughts on the Corn Laws, Addressed to the Working Classes of Gloucester (1839).
